Akko Poster!

Project Overview

This project centered on creating a full typeface poster that highlights the character, mood, and personality of Akko Rounded. The goal was to build a design that feels playful, modern, and friendly while still showing strong control of layout, hierarchy, spacing, and color. I worked through several stages including research, sketching, digital building, color testing, and mock up creation.

Concept and Inspiration

The concept for this poster was built around the soft curves and rounded shapes within the typeface. Akko Rounded has a friendly voice, so I wanted the poster to reflect that mood. I leaned into organic shapes, smooth edges, and a simple retro inspired floral theme that supports the cheerful tone of the type. The design draws light inspiration from early 2000s rounded tech typography mixed with soft mid century shapes.
